The Coppin State Lady Eagles were aware of what was on the line tonight at the PEC. A loss would eliminate CSU, forcing them to play out the rest of the season. A win would keep CSU in the race for the fourth and final spot in the MEAC North Division in which the the top four finishers after the regular season earn a spot in the MEAC Volleyball Tournament.
Though they made it interesting late, the tough serving, strong passing Lady Eagles pulled out a 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23) win over the Hampton Lady Pirates tonight.
The win ended a 37-match MEAC North losing streak dating back to November 10, 2006 when they defeated Delaware State in four games at the Coppin Center.
