Morgan State softball swept by Marist

The first reason being the Lady Bears couldn’t play their home games with the Red Foxes at Lois Murray Field because that place was deemed unplayable. So they had to move the game to Coppin State softball field in order to play that day.

However, once Morgan State started playing, It didn’t end well for the Lady Bears over there either as Marist swept Morgan 11-7 in the first game and came back late to edge them 3-2 in the second game.

Morgan head coach Jeff Bozier looked at this as a test for his mostly young team. He said, “The first game, my whole thought was I wanted our rookie pitcher Gabrielle Gomez. Gomez got in trouble early and often, giving up nine runs in five innings of work. Theo offense wasn’t of much help early either. Particularly in the bottom of the fourth inning when runners wre on second and third.

Marist head coach Joe Ausanio said about the games, “
