In a special breast cancer awareness game at Coppin State Field, the Lady Eagles softball team displayed their pink uniforms while knocking off Mount St. Mary’s 3-1 on Wednesday.
Coppin State pitcher Paige Arnold pitched a complete game one-hitter while the offense provided just enough scoring to secure the victory on another cold and rainy day.
While Coppin State head coach Larry Hineline wasn’t very pleased with the three errors on defense, he was very happy with the different ways of getting run support.
Arnold lost a 1-0 decision in the first game of a doubleheader at Mount St. Mary’s on Marchg 17. She commented on the differences in this effort saying,
Coppin got on the board in the bottom of the second inning when Charma Robinson launched a solo home run over the left field fence.
