Not surprisingly, Morgan State head coach Donald Beasley won’t accept the excuse that his Lady Bears had nothing left after playing their third game in five days. You could see it in the Lady Bears’ body language that they hardly had anything left in their tank in a 69-61 loss to the Elon Phoenix at Hill Field House this afternoon.
About 22 hours after they held off Coppin State, Elon came in and rained three-point jumpers on MSU almost unmercifully. Phoenix point guard Ali Ford tortured Morgan State (5-4) with six three-pointers and 24 points leading all scorers.
