Coming into yesterday's meeting between Florida A&M and Coppin State, both teams stand in need of at least winning the series in order to stay alive for the last MEAC Tournament spot.
Coppin State won the first game 8-6 while the Florida A&M Rattlers overcame a 5-0 first inning deficit to defeat the Eagles 11-9 in the second game of a doubleheader at Joe Cannon Stadium
