Coppin State Track & Field may have work left to do this outdoor track season according to head coach Carl Hicks. However, the Eagles had enough to win the six-team event at the Coppin State Track on Saturday. This event included the defending MEAC champions in Norfolk State.
This win could be the catalyst for the Eagles to make a serious run towards a top-five finish at the MEAC Track & Field Championships at North Carolina A&T on the first weekend in May.
Coppin State scored 95 points in the meet, nudging UMES who finished with 93 points this day.
