GW routs unaggressive Lady Eagles

By Keith Henry

WASHINGTON, D.C. - You would think that the Coppin State Lady Eagles would've learned their lesson about playing aggressively at this point. Not quite yet.

The George Washington Colonials started the game by outscoring Coppin State 31-8 on the way to a 63-42 victory over the Lady Eagles at the Charles E. Smith Center.

The Lady Eagles settled for jump shots most of the night on the offensive end. The mostly young Coppin State squad didn't muster anything up when it came to driving to the basket until about midway through the second half. By that time, it was much too late.
