Should Baltimore get a WNBA team?

It was in the Baltimore Sun today that the WNBA has approached mayor Sheila Dixon about putting a team in the area. Of course, that will depend on the new arena that Baltimore has been working on supposedly.

Mayor Dixon seemed more hopeful about a WNBA franchise coming to Baltimore than an NBA or an NHL team. In a way, that's more realisitic. Baltimore needs something different for a change. Even though a team in Baltimore may dent the Mystics in terms of attendance, it shouldn't be a problem having two teams in the area.

The thing is I would prefer to have an expansion team rather than have one pride.

I would love to have a team in Baltimore. As long as the Mystics stayed in Washington and develop a rivalry, the beneficiaries will be many. Including me.
